About Us

Add more information about you (use a * with a space after for bullet points)

I’m Warren Mailley-Smith, an award-winning concert pianist. I’m offering piano lessons to all ages and abilities using my vast teaching expertise and experience.

I have played the piano for as long as I can remember and my earliest memories of the piano were being fascinated by the black and white keys and the delight of seeing and hearing my parents playing familiar melodies in front of me.

I was then lucky to have a very enthusiastic and encouraging first piano teacher from the age of 5 who certainly instilled in me a love for the instrument.

My Career and Experience

I studied at the Royal College of Music where I won numerous postgraduate prizes including a Countess of Munster Award and the French Piano Music Prize. I then took further private studies with Peter Feuchtwanger and the late Ronald Smith.

My debut was with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Beethoven’s Emperor Piano Concerto. I have received over thirty invitations to perform for the British Royal Family at Buckingham Palace, Highgrove House and Sandringham House.

I have performed in the USA, Russia, China (Beijing International Piano Festival), Australia and throughout Europe and have been featured in iA reputation as one of the country’s leading solo pianists of my generation. I continue to grow with performances all over the UK at festivals, music societies, universities and many of the country’s leading concert venues.

I have had interviews and performance slots on Classic FM and BBC Radio and have recorded six CDs.

My concerto repertoire includes works by Rachmaninov, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Mozart and Tchaikovsky and I work regularly with duo partners Rowena Calvert (cello), Susan Parkes (Soprano) and Matt Jones (violin).
